El lubricante es un invento brillante, por lo que no deber\u00eda ser ning\u00fan tab\u00fa. Es una herramienta para mantener relaciones sexuales placenteras, sin roces, dolor ni molestias. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 los lubricantes son productos sanitarios?<\/h2>\n

Pocos lo saben, pero pronto se producir\u00e1 un avance espectacular en el campo de los lubricantes. Debido al nuevo Reglamento Europeo de Productos Sanitarios (MDR, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), que est\u00e1 en vigor desde mayo de 2021, los lubricantes se categorizar\u00e1n como los desfibriladores y estar\u00e1n sujetos a controles mucho m\u00e1s rigurosos. Esto significa que se regular\u00e1n de forma mucho m\u00e1s estricta que antes y deben contar con una aprobaci\u00f3n oficial. El objetivo de este nuevo reglamento es crear un marco jur\u00eddico normalizado para los productos sanitarios a nivel europeo, mejorar la calidad de los productos y, en consecuencia, aumentar la seguridad para los usuarios. Muchas marcas no podr\u00e1n obtener esta aprobaci\u00f3n estricta pero necesaria y sus productos ya no podr\u00e1n denominarse lubricantes, lubrificantes o cremas. Por lo tanto, tampoco podr\u00e1n garantizar la seguridad necesaria, as\u00ed que no deben seguir introduci\u00e9ndose en el cuerpo. Ten cuidado y mant\u00e9n los ojos bien abiertos cuando compres un lubricante.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Estas medidas a nivel europeo se adoptaron despu\u00e9s de que la empresa francesa Poly Implant Proth\u00e8se (PIP) rellenara implantes mamarios con silicona industrial en 2012. Miles de mujeres recibieron implantes de peor calidad cuyos ingredientes eran perjudiciales para su salud. A diferencia de los productos farmac\u00e9uticos, en aquella \u00e9poca no exist\u00eda ning\u00fan procedimiento de aprobaci\u00f3n que estuviera lo suficientemente regulado para productos como implantes mamarios o lubricantes. Para estos productos sanitarios de clase I, solo se exig\u00eda el marcado CE y una especie de documentaci\u00f3n de fabricaci\u00f3n, que en aquel momento no ten\u00eda que comprobarse mediante \u00abprocedimientos de evaluaci\u00f3n de la conformidad\u00bb. Los cerca de 80 centros de inspecci\u00f3n repartidos por toda Europa sol\u00edan realizar inspecciones previa solicitud y notificaci\u00f3n. PIP llev\u00f3 a cabo por su cuenta la \u00abevaluaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica\u00bb exigida y probablemente enga\u00f1\u00f3 a los auditores, por lo que acabaron lanzando al mercado productos de peor calidad.<\/p>\n

Clasificaci\u00f3n de los productos sanitarios<\/h2>\n

Los productos sanitarios se dividen en cuatro clases de riesgo<\/strong>. Esta categorizaci\u00f3n se basa, entre otras cosas, en el lugar y la duraci\u00f3n de la aplicaci\u00f3n, la posici\u00f3n anat\u00f3mica y el riesgo que resulta de la aplicaci\u00f3n. Los productos de la clase I son de riesgo bajo y no requieren la aprobaci\u00f3n de un organismo oficial. En esta clase se incluyen, por ejemplo, las gafas para leer o las medias de compresi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Los productos de la clase IIa suponen un riesgo medio, mientras que los de clase IIb, un riesgo mayor. Para obtener el marcado CE para los productos de estas dos clases y poder lanzarlos al mercado, el fabricante necesitan un certificado de conformidad de la UE, tambi\u00e9n conocido como \u00abcertificado CE\u00bb. En los productos de la clase IIa no solo se incluyen las jeringuillas desechables, sino tambi\u00e9n los equipos de ultrasonido.<\/p>\n

La clase IIb incluye los productos que se introducen total o parcialmente en el cuerpo y requieren normas de seguridad estrictas porque son importantes para el usuario. Suponen un mayor riesgo que los productos o equipos de clase IIa. En esta clase, se incluyen las bombas de infusi\u00f3n, respiradores y algunos desfibriladores, as\u00ed como lubricantes y preservativos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Por tanto, a partir de 2024, los fabricantes de lubricantes tambi\u00e9n tendr\u00e1n que pasar por el MDR (Reglamento Europeo de Productos Sanitarios) para que puedan seguir fabricando y vendiendo productos bajo la denominaci\u00f3n de lubricante. Solo estos productos aprobados cumplen las estrictas normas de un producto sanitario de clase IIb y son los \u00fanicos que ofrecen seguridad para el organismo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A partir de 2024, los productos que no cuenten con la certificaci\u00f3n MDR no podr\u00e1n venderse bajo la denominaci\u00f3n de lubricante. En ese caso, se considerar\u00e1n cosm\u00e9ticos que, a su vez, se han concebido \u00fanicamente para uso externo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan la Oficina Federal de Protecci\u00f3n del Consumidor y Seguridad Alimentaria alemana, estos productos sirven para limpiar el cuerpo, perfumarlo, cambiar su aspecto, protegerlo o cambiar el olor corporal.<\/p>\n
