Hai mai riflettuto sull\u2019utilizzo di un gel lubrificante?<\/h2>\n

Di per s\u00e9, il gel lubrificante \u00e8 un\u2019invenzione geniale e non dovrebbe pi\u00f9 essere un tab\u00f9. Si tratta di un ausilio volto a rendere il rapporto sessuale pi\u00f9 gradevole, senza attrito, dolore o sensazione di disagio. Molti di noi acquistano i gel lubrificanti in profumeria, prevalentemente senza leggerne attentamente l\u2019etichetta. In altri ambiti della vita, che si tratti di alimenti o cura della pelle, molti di noi prestano attenzione agli ingredienti o alle condizioni di produzione. Eppure, quando si tratta di gel lubrificanti, molti afferrano il primo prodotto che capita, spesso uno tra i pi\u00f9 economici. Tuttavia, sapevi che i gel lubrificanti sono dei dispositivi medici gi\u00e0 da alcuni anni e che saranno soggetti a disposizioni essenzialmente pi\u00f9 severe a livello europeo a partire dal prossimo anno?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Perch\u00e9 un gel lubrificante \u00e8, di fatto, un dispositivo medico?<\/h2>\n

In pochissimi ne sono a conoscenza, ma un cambiamento radicale sar\u00e0 previsto a breve per i gel lubrificanti. Alla luce del nuovo Regolamento europeo relativo ai dispositivi medici (Medical Device Regulation, o MDR) in vigore da maggio 2021, in futuro i gel lubrificanti saranno classificati e controllati con maggiore rigore, come i defibrillatori. Pertanto, sono soggetti a disposizioni sostanzialmente pi\u00f9 rigide rispetto a prima e devono presentare un\u2019omologazione ufficiale. Questo nuovo Regolamento si propone di creare un quadro giuridico unitario in Europa destinato ai dispositivi medici, al fine di ottimizzare la qualit\u00e0 dei prodotti e, conseguentemente, innalzare il livello di sicurezza per i consumatori. Molti marchi non otterranno questa certificazione severa, seppur indispensabile, e i loro dispositivi non potranno pi\u00f9 fregiarsi del nome gel, liquido o crema lubrificante. Pertanto, questi dispositivi non offriranno neanche la sicurezza richiesta e non dovranno pi\u00f9 entrare all\u2019interno del corpo. Di conseguenza, fai bene attenzione quando acquisti un gel lubrificante!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Questi provvedimenti a livello europeo sono stati presi, dopo che, nel 2012, l\u2019azienda francese Poly Implant Proth\u00e8se (PIP) aveva riempito le protesi mammarie con del silicone industriale. Su migliaia di donne furono utilizzati impianti di scarsa qualit\u00e0, i cui ingredienti erano nocivi per la salute. Diversamente dai farmaci, in quel periodo non era prevista una procedura di certificazione sufficientemente regolamentata per i dispositivi come le protesi mammarie, n\u00e9 tantomeno i gel lubrificanti. Per questi dispositivi medici di Classe I, di base erano indispensabili esclusivamente il marchio CE e un tipo di documentazione del produttore che al tempo non si dovevano verificare per mezzo di \u201cprocedure di valutazione della conformit\u00e0\u201d. Distribuiti in tutta Europa, circa 80 organismi di controllo eseguivano verifiche solitamente dietro richiesta e preavviso annunciato. Fu PIP a intraprendere personalmente la \u201cvalutazione clinica\u201d richiesta, ingannando gli audit e facendo giungere sul mercato dispositivi di qualit\u00e0 scadente.<\/p>\n

Classificazione dei dispositivi medici<\/h2>\n

I dispositivi medici sono suddivisi in quattro classi di rischio<\/strong> Questa suddivisione avviene, tra gli altri aspetti, in base al luogo di utilizzo, la durata dell\u2019utilizzo, la posizione anatomica nonch\u00e9 il rischio comportato dall’utilizzo. La classificazione si estende da nessun rischio presente fino al rischio e al potenziale di pericolo elevati.<\/p>\n

Classe I<\/h2>\n

I dispositivi della Classe I presentano un rischio ridotto e non richiedono alcuna omologazione ad opera di un organismo ufficiale. Tra questi rientrano, ad esempio, gli occhiali da lettura oppure le calze di sostegno.<\/p>\n

Classe IIa<\/h2>\n

I dispositivi della Classe IIa hanno un rischio medio, mentre quelli della Classe IIb uno elevato. Al fine di conferire il marchio CE a entrambe le classi e consentirne la commercializzazione, i produttori necessitano di una Dichiarazione di Conformit\u00e0 UE, nota anche come \u201cCertificato CE\u201d. Tra i dispositivi della Classe IIa rientrano, ad esempio, le siringhe per le pompe per infusione oppure le apparecchiature a ultrasuoni.<\/p>\n

Classe IIb<\/h2>\n

Nella Classe IIb si annoverano, tra gli altri, quei dispositivi che s\u2019inseriscono nel corpo, parzialmente o integralmente, e per cui sono richiesti standard elevati di sicurezza, perch\u00e9 sono importanti per l\u2019utente. Presentano un rischio pi\u00f9 elevato rispetto ai dispositivi, o alle apparecchiature, di Classe IIa. Tra questi rientrano le pompe per infusione, i respiratori, alcuni defibrillatori, i gel lubrificanti e i preservativi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Pertanto, a partire dal 2024, anche i produttori di gel lubrificanti devono soddisfare i criteri del MDR (Regolamento europeo relativo ai dispositivi medici) per poter continuare a produrre e vendere prodotti che rientrano nella definizione di gel o creme lubrificanti. Soltanto questi dispositivi certificati ottemperano ai requisiti severi di un dispositivo medico di Classe IIb e soltanto questi vi offrono sicurezza per il corpo.<\/strong><\/p>\n
